in Bowness-on-Windermere.
Open all day, we serve home cooked modern
English and Mediterranean food, prepared with fresh ingredients, locally sourced
where possible.
Our menu offers something to suit all moods and appetites. From a simple sharing
plate between two and a glass of Chilled Wine or Beer, to a full three course
Dinner with several bottles.

A fantastic place to
relax with friends and family, join us for casual or formal dining.
Our decor is light, bright and airy. The
main area, with it’s large glass windows looking down Lake Road, is ideal
for watching the world go by, while sipping one of our excellent Wines sourced
through smaller, independant vineyards. The lower area offers the chance to watch
our talented Chefs as they are busy preparing your meal. For a romantic meal,
our balcony area is for couples only.
Our professional staff offer friendly and
informal service, ideal after that day on the Lake or Hills, or a hard days shopping
in Bowness’s eclectic mix of shops.

For our younger clientele, we offer Lickle
Olives brasserie menu. A highchair is available for the very Lickle.
   The
brasserie features original artwork by local artist Jeni
Calvert with a Mediterranean theme, from olive groves to busy cafe scenes.

Gary and Shirley Mickelfield also own 
which they have run for eight years with great success, having built up a loyal
following of local and regular tourists. They were lucky enough to bring through
to Bowness some of their talented and experienced staff, who have helped them
to open Fat Olives with much success from the outset.
